The National Motorsports Press Association consists of qualified members of the media who report on the sport of auto racing through affiliations with print, radio, television and/or Internet news gathering organizations.

Elected Officers of the NMPA for the 2024 season. All officers and board members are elected by the press membership through nominations and majority vote.
Deb Williams
President
Deb is in her fourth decade covering motorsports. She currently writes for Autoweek.com. During her career she has covered auto racing for several outlets including United Press International, espnW.com, USA Today, The Charlotte Observer, and RacinToday.com. She also was the editor of NASCAR Winston Cup Scene. She received her journalism degree from East Tennessee State University.
Alan Cavanna
Vice President
Alan was a champion racer in his youth, but soon turned his talents toward journalism. He’s covered auto racing full-time since 2013 on television, online and in print. Alan graduated from Syracuse University with a degree in Broadcast Journalism.
Justin Schuoler
Secretary Treasurer
Justin’s experience dates back to the mid-90s racing motocross. He won a local championship in 1999, and competed in multiple endurance races. His racing experience expanded into karting, officiating, scoring and mechanics. Now, he works as a Senior Editor for Kickin’ the Tires and works with his wife Rachel, a two-time NMPA award-winning motorsports photographer.
Seth Eggert
Social Media Officer
Seth manages social media outreach for multiple outlets and for the NMPA. From a family of racing enthusiasts, he began his journalism journey in the mid-2010's. He now is a staff writer and eSports editor with Kickin' the Tires, along with co-founding an advanced statistician website service in Motorsports Reference.
